CT Home Interiors built by Michael Greenberg & Associates | Photo by Michele Scotto Trani | http://sequinedasphault.com

We are so glad to be back for this week’s edition of Which One? Wednesday. Both of these very different homes were photographed recently for Michael Greenberg & Associates.

Now, I’m definitely a modern home kind of girl.  No question about it. And I love this first interior on the left. This home, as I understand, was designed in part as a show piece for a spirited art collection, and it is tremendously successful as such. It also brings the landscape in from the outside, which is one of my weaknesses for the modern aesthetic.

Rustic, to me, hearkens thoughts of Vermont and Maine and skiing (which I do not do at all) and snowboarding (which I do not do well).  So maybe I’m most drawn to the space on the right because it is still winter here in New England.  And there are so many good books around.  I swoon over libraries as you may know. Right now, I just want some morning light, a good book, and to be curled up on that couch until spring.

Which space would you like to inhabit if just for a moment?

If you’re new here, (or you just don’t remember because it’s been so long), on Wednesdays I open up the comments for you to tell me which view from a recent photo shoot you prefer.   And why.  I love hearing what you have to say.  You can peruse past Which One? features here.

Last week we had some puddle controversy. The outdoor shower should be luxurious, not distracting. Who wants to be reminded they need to go home and mop their floor? Nobody. Especially me. My floor, which I am ignoring in favor of work so far, has a light sheen of toddler from all the ice cream served this past weekend.

Since I have another week to get this competition entry together, we are revisiting our modern, Cor-Ten, pool pavillion. I promise, after this post I’m going to be sick of it. Actually, I don’t think I could ever get sick of this amazing structure, which I just learned was originally conceived as a tractor rusting away in the field, but I promise to show you a different project next week since this is the 3rd time (who’s counting?) I’m asking you to chime in here.  Without further ado, here’s the big questions:

Which image best represents the outdoor shower?

Thanks for all your input. I really enjoy the discussion every week. And I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I’m thinking of crashing the Pool Pavillion…

You’ve already seen the other side of this incredible, corten steel pool house with the green roof when you helped me choose the one representative shot for this project. Well, I am revisiting this shoot once again to cull the best images for a design competition entry.

I have a few more views and details to edit from the day, but we definitely need that image that just makes you want to stop everything and jump in. It’s a gorgeous and innovative structure by Beinfield Architecture, but it’s still a pool house.

So, pray tell, which one most makes you want to grab your swimsuit (or not, if you know what I mean) and be transported to this private haven?

I am a huge fan of pools. Huge. I’ve been enjoying ours tremendously. And I hope you, too, are enjoying your summer with a bit of fun and luxury.

Last week you helped firm my resolve to keep the original orientation of the FILTH photo. That was great. Thanks.

This week I was going to show you some gorgeous images from a house in Southport. Problem is I can’t get the graffiti out of my mind…

See, Dug and I decided we love the FILTH shot, but it’s more of a bathroom print. Like right over the toilet. But at this moment I am desperate for something huge in the living room. Something with color. And since it’s not going to be the big blue lips, I asked Dug to pick his 3 favorite shots for over the couch, and here they are.

I definitely have a favorite from this trio, but I’m gonna need to hear from My People on this one.

That’s you. So get to it. Please help us decide the fate of our living room.

I’m woefully behind on editing anything for my abandoned series. Isn’t that the way, though. Certain things will always get pushed aside for the Priority Level 1 projects.

So here I am today, itching to get some more of my own work up on the walls in my house. And I want it yesterday. So before I’ve rounded out a cohesive series from this graffiti project, I’m heading to 1 of my favorite images, and I’m ready to impulse order large format, acrylic prints. Almost ready. Obviously, that’s why we are here on this Which One? Wednesday.

Here’s one of the images. 2 ways. The original orientation is first. And the reflected version is 2nd. This image I’m think will work best at around 27″ wide. So large scale, but not massive. Discuss.
