My first shoot, post baby, was back in July for the wonderful team of Tricia Izzo and Carolyn Kron over at Shelter Interiors. These creative entrepreneurs are also Moms, and I am so appreciative of their continual support of my business.
Shelter Interiors is responsible for the cool, new Shelton office of the Dermatology Physicians of Connecticut.
A lot of people go to work every single day to offices that are vanilla. Just bland and uninspiring. (That expression’s not really fair to vanilla, is it?) A cubicle in a vast sea of beige or grey.
Well, be jealous. It’s a totally energizing and creatively fueled atmosphere over at the new offices of Madison|Mott, a marketing, advertising and design powerhouse located in Westport, Connecticut. And I can tell you after spending the day there for the shoot, the office design definitely reflects the spirit of the organization. So congratulations to all those involved in the process, including interior designers Tricia Izzo and Carolyn Kron of Shelter Interiors LLC.
These uptown/downtown offices belong to the 2 top dogs over at Madison|Mott. They had a lot of involvement in the design of their individual spaces, which are on point with their own brand:
“We’re weird. Good weird. Simply put, we’re different than other firms, and proud of it. We unabashedly embrace modern day digital advances while upholding the tenets of classic marketing and advertising, to our clients’ advantage. We’re techie and traditional, we’re chic and punk, we’re Madison and Mott. We do all kinds of stuff, including: IDENTITY/BRANDING, PRINT, WEBSITES, MOBILE & SOCIAL.” from the Madison|Mott website
So for today’s Which One? Wednesday, instead of asking which photo you like better, I’d like to know which space you’d rather be immersed in every day to get your creativity flowing. I’m clearly more of a downtown kind of girl, and I am really drawn to the bright, bold colors on the right, but I have to admit, the glamour of that office on the left is calling to me. I’m torn. It’s an Audrey versus Vader kind of decision… Use the force.
If you’re new here, on Wednesdays I open up the comments for you to tell me which view from a recent photo shoot you prefer. And why. I love hearing what you have to say. You can peruse past Which One? features here.
For this week’s Which One? we are back with the talented design duo at Shelter Interiors LLC. This is a shoot from last year that was published in Connecticut Cottages & Gardens magazine, but for whatever ridiculous reason, never made it on to the blog.
I’m pretty sure I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 options, 1 or the group 2. But I’ve been ‘pretty sure’ before getting some of your prior feedback and I end up more confused! Hearing what you have to say is always exciting for me, so get to it. You know the drill. Let me know in the comments which you prefer, and we are still evaluating these for my in-progress web site revamp.
Here are the previous Sequined Asphault Studio Which One? posts if you are interested in taking a look see back in time.
And if you are just joining us this week, these are all scheduled posts and I may not be able to respond to your comments in a timely fashion, since I am on some fabulous island, jet skiing, swimming with dolphins, and dancing the night away. My apologies. *cough* *cough* Actually, I am way more likely to be floating around a lazy river with a cocktail, but totally glamorous nonetheless. Feel free to bitch about that in the comments too.
Happy Hump Day, people. Today I bring to you this incredible bathroom designed by my friends over at Shelter Interiors. I fantasize about this bathroom all the time, and so, of course, it’s going to make an appearance on my new and improved web site, due to go live next month. The very site I’ve been whining about tirelessly. And since I’m fond of so many of the shots, I am bringing you 3 options for layouts. Please help me choose Which One best represents my architectural photography to potential clients.
All comments are appreciated. And if you are new here and would like to see previous Sequined Asphault ‘Which One?’ posts, you can go here.
