Which One? Wednesday | House in the Meadow edition
You may recognize this house. This is an amazingly gorgeous Beinfield Architecture project in Connecticut that I’ve been lucky enough return to several times for photo shoots. It’s like being on vacation for the day. Except I have to wear real people clothes and it’s not so professional if I jump in the pool.
The architect and home owner refer to this project as The House in the Meadow. And now that the landscaping has had a chance to grow in, you can get a real sense of the meadow.
So, often times, in promotional material and competitions, you have to choose a single representative image to showcase a project. In this Which One? I’d like to get your opinion on the most striking image to represent this house.
Now that I’m writing this, I’m remembering last summer’s dusk shot which is popular with the architect. But, you know what, let’s stick to these daytime shots so I don’t get a headache.
I have a clear favorite. I’ll tell you mine, if you tell me yours…
If you’re new here, on Wednesdays I open up the comments for you to tell me which view from a recent photo shoot you prefer. And why. I love hearing what you have to say. You can peruse past Which One? features here.

The second one. The house is beautiful!
The first one all the way! It totally gives you the feeling of a “House in the Meadow”
ps-would be even greater if you photoshop out the airplane lines in the sky leaving just the clouds. Are you allowed to do such a thing??
Well, obviously you need both as they communicate totally different personalities of the project. The first gives a sense of traditional “connected farm buildings of new england” (shout out to my man, Professor Hubka)and the second features the barn and the contemporary little whatever that is.
Wow I’m really torn on this one, but I think the second. The first really is meadow-y, but the second is more that inviting-you-in vibe, like there ought to be a glass of iced tea on that little table waiting for you.
